The FABRIC cowl lace is what was original on the 1948-1956 trucks but some people like to use the RUBBER cowl lace (like the one on the green truck) because of a better appearance. If you'd like the RUBBER one also, the part # for that one is B7C-16740 AND it's a few $$$ cheaper.
